jeannie n' joe

i just photographed the lovely jeannie and joe's wedding back in august and it was a beauuuutiful day! the heat (that has been out of control this summer!!!) subsided long enough to have a run around manayunk after their ceremony at saint john the baptist. jeannie mentioned that she always runs by the river so i thought it would be extra special to take photos down there. that way, everytime she goes for a run, she can think of their fabulous day all over again :)

hello beautiful people!!

so there are big changes on the horizon for sarah mckay photography!! things just keep growing and growing. i've spent the last year really figuring out who i am as a photographer and what lights my fire. it's been an incredible journey i'm inspired by everyday both professionally and personally.

one major theme in the forefront of my mind is love... first, the love my clients have for each other; whether its between a giddy couple a few months before their wedding, or between a grandmother holding her new grandchild. and there's the love that i have for them. i am so thankful to be such a special part of all their lives. to be invited into something so sacred. to capture those moments your heart reflects upon as the years roll by. and of course there is the love for photography! as an artist, i can't think of a more perfect medium to make work that satisfies my creative urges while bringing such joy to others. win win, right?!! :)

i have a new website in the works that i am *really* excited about with loads of new work!! but until then, i will start posting some of my work stuff to hold you over.
